I receive an error when cropping and trimming my recordings

If your attempts to crop and trim a recording fail and you receive an error, it's likely because Screencastify couldn't authenticate you as a Premium user who has access to these features.

To fix this problem, please follow the steps below to sign out and then back in to the extension.

  1. Open the extension's Main Menu
  2. Click "Sign Out"
  3. Click "Sign In"


Make sure that the email you're signed in to the extension with is the same one that you purchased your license with.

If you have followed the above steps and still receive an error when attempting to crop and trim your recording, submit your logs to customer support. Please indicate that you've already tried the solution above and provide as much detail as possible.
