Add text to a clip
You can add text above any clip imported into our Video Editor. This comes in handy if you want to add a title to your video, create quick notes, clarify/correct something, and more.
To add text in the editor, follow these steps:
- Use your mouse to select where you'd like the text overlay to begin
- Select the T icon
- Type the text you'd like to add
- Clicking away from the text overlay will save your text
To edit text, you can use our WYSIWYG editor:
Here, you can bold, italicize, or underline text. You can also change the text color or highlight color. The font type and text size can be manipulated as well.
Finally, you can change the text's horizontal alignment to align it to the left of the screen, the center, or the right. Similarly, you can change a text overlay's vertical alignment to put it at the top of your screen, the middle, or the bottom of your screen.
You can also change the position of the text clip by clicking and dragging. Additionally, you can elongate the time the text clip shows by dragging it on the left or right:
